Violet Richardson Award
Awarded to a
young woman between the ages of 14 and 17 who makes the world
a better place through volunteer efforts, especially those
that benefit women and girls.
Our 2008-09 Violet
Richardson Award winner of a $100 Savings Bond award
was:
Anaelisa Chapman
Anna is 17 years old Grants Pass High
2009 graduate. She started "Santa's Workshop" at WCST
Center, where the children can pick out free Christmas gifts
for their
families

Awarded to a high school senior who has
demonstrated through volunteerism that they can make a
difference in their
community.

Moving On
Scholarship
Awarded through Rogue Community College
to a woman making the transition back into education.

Women's Opportunity Award
The Women’s Opportunity Award
is a cash grant awarded to a woman who provides the primary
source of financial support for their family (head of
household status), who is seeking to improve her economic
status by gaining additional skills, training or education
through an accredited learning center. To apply for this

Our 2008-09 Women's Opportunity Award winner of a $1000
cash award was:
Anna Bernstein
Anna is a single parent with a young
son She is a student at SOU, working on a BA
in human services Anna wants to help at-risk
and low income children She currently works as
a Homeess Youth Advocate for LIFT Street Youth
Services
We are also excited that Anna
also won one of the NW Region Women's Opportunity Awards, for
an additional $3000 cash award!
